I could probably have had a great career in finance, getting huge bonuses as I wasted your money.

Unfortunately, I was scarred from an early age by the Monty Pythons' antipathy towards accountancy.
Never ever considered it as a possible career.

 

I was actually engaged to an accountant for a couple of years. She was a lovely girl but mysterious ... things in the end just didn't add up.

She was bound To be mysterious.

The mystery being why you'd want to be an accountant.

 

She used to earn more than me. That kind of made me think "Ah, now that's why you'd want to be an accountant". :tongue:

 

If you pick up the Yellow Pages and look up Engineers, you will find section that says Boring..............no mention of Accountants in that section though......Odd I thought.
