There is more than one way to skin a cat. There is something great fun about tootling around on a bike, not trying to go especially fast or hit every apex. I think the Scrambler will provide this sort of unchallenging fun. For a few years, I had a 907ie and an 851 and later 916. There were times I'd take the 907ie out, simply because I wanted a more chilled out ride, less "on it". I had great fun on it, just a different sort of fun.
They're not for me, nothing against them. They look great when you see them in the showrooms and some of the pictures like above, but then you see someone riding one and it then goes horribly wrong, they're just a bit small and riders don't look very natural sitting on them, it's just all a bit odd.
The new Scrambler is a nice bit of fashion tinsel that will sell like hot-beards and quiffs. Audi demands an ROI. Putting that all aside. 'Scrambler' is a new brand as far as Audi/Ducati are concerned. There will be more of these lifestyle bikes wearing the same branding in the future.

I think they should have used twin shocks not mono, for a better looking rear end, To much curve in the swing arm,
It's actually red, but the flash on my iphone makes it look white...below is a pre-carbon pic. I would agree with you though, had it been white, I would rightly be called a douche!
You notice the (?) at the end of the sentence? Look at it again with the question mark...I am trying to make a statement, while asking a question. You see?(?) Is The Scrambler Not The Worst Looking Bike Ever? Personally, I liked the Paso for it's time. I thought the wrap around look of the fairing was a nice touch, maybe not the blue colour? But I liked the red. I also want to add that I have nothing against the Kawi, I have owned 3 Ninjas, still have my black 1990 ZX-7, I was just making the point that it was designed in the 70's and was using it to compare the style. Nothing against the bike.
could be good for just nipping to work on or down the shops. Been trying to find some specs. How long before we get a good exhaust system for one saw the different versions in MCN. One with twin tail pipes looked best of the four version covered in MCN I think....

I quite like the styling of the Scrambler, but taking a closer look at the London bike show my mate took the words right out of my mouth, "Looks like it was built in China".
I agree with Chris, However the idea to revive the Scambler was not Ducati's idea it was Borile who came up with it under an agreement with Ducati who then stole the idea and took Borile to Court, then promptly fucked it up
