Is your dealer actually any good ?

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Couchy, Dec 20, 2012.

  1. And guess who got slagged off by a lot of you a short while ago for saying that most of the main dealers were a load of cr*p??

  2. Well that just shows the differences in opinion as the guy on the front page was singing their praises and now supervee has had a bad experience?!

  3. Supervee had his experience(s) starting in 2006...................he's heard of others since.............

  4. Ducati DOTY 2012, not worth it's merit then?

  5. Once bitten twice shy.

  6. I went to C&J, and indeed converted to Ducati, based on recommendations from mates who've bought; a D16RR, a 1098R, a 1098S, a Pikes Peak Multi and three ordinary Multi's from them. All these lads are long time bikers and serious petrolheads who would'nt go there if the service was crap or the sales team were taking the piss. They've been great with me and my bike, as I said earlier, and they would'nt get my dosh otherwise.

    :upyeah:

  7. This is a very emotive issue....for most dealers there will be satisfied and some disatisfied customers, I only can speak on the positive, both main dealers I have had dealings with have been superb, namely Ducati Glasgow and M & S Newcastle, the latter did the rebuild on the bike after an off and it was all professionally dealt with, the former suplied the bike to me new and have been great to deal with......Independants I have dealt with DT in Sunderland, .....and Ducati John doon in Leeds, DJ top top man!!! I think we need to be a little mindful of dissing a dealer on what is a public forum, because we only have one side to the story.....anyway I think that good service is not reported as much as bad...lets hope that all our bikes when "dealer" serviced are given what they deserve, I feel sure that standards have improved since the "70's" on Westgate Road in the toon when it was poor with certain dealers....right I'll get me coat and clear me desk......

  8. Bought my bevel from TT Motorcycles in Sunderland many years ago, and the front carb fell off after a service. Along with the front exhaust pipe. Apparently they did a runner with some Hells Angels money which was for an undelivered Harley. I did laugh.

  9. Cool story makes you wonder why he did that?

Mike Dawson, MD Racing. Good choice, ducati owner, Ducati lower and great mechanic.

  10. Poor show from woods of Abergele, personally, but great service from local indie, hammer n tongs of Warrington (aka Spodmoto).

  11. Having largely lost faith in my nearest Ducati dealer i want to try someone else but in the west we are not spoilt for choice.
Anyone use Louigi Moto and have good things to say as they might be an option.

  12. I havent but I know looooooooads who have and all good reports. Have met him lots, chatted lots, nice knowledgable guy. Would I take my bike there? Yes.

  13. Luigi reports all good as far as I know. I think I also meet the guy one time and he looked a bit like someone from ACDC band ;)

  14. Suggest you havent, met him then...looks more like one of the worzels! Lol

  15. Drove from Teesside to Bristol with my bike to take it to Lougi Moto so I would say they are pretty good. Dont be put off by the access to the place , nice pub nearby as well.:upyeah: although they had a bit of difficulty with my accent:smile:

  16. As I've said before I'm not in favour of crucifying a dealer on one mistake. Working on the principle that even the best of us fuck up from time to time I'd give them the opportunity to put it right first. If they continue to fail then I'm afraid they deserve the publicity generated.

  17. Where in Teesside are you?

  18. A little bit North of Teeside actually, but most Southeners would have trouble placing it.

  19. Yeah but I wouldn't. Whereabouts?

  20. Looked at the members map. Hartlepool
