Isle Of Man Tt 2024

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by H2pots, May 16, 2024.

  1. Big thread on the manx radio page about the prices of food at the food trucks at the grandstand -
    Good places to go
Hailwood centre meal deal £5.50, drink, crisps and a sarnie,
Filbys has plenty of "good food, resonable price" comments
Adora Catering, £4 for fries, £2 tea / coffee, £7 for a burger.

    Not so good
Street food van - £20 burger chips and drink. £13.50 cheesey bread and a drink, £15 for "fries with a bit of chicken"

Generally though the finger is being pointed at the pitch costs - looks like £10k a pitch...

  2. Menu from "The Other place" in Ramsey - just across from shoprite - I've eaten here a few times and it's good food / good people / reasonable prices.

  4. Watched the sidecars last night with interest especially with that onboard camera with the Crowe brothers, i just didn't see that coming with the Birchall brothers splitting up as i thought they'd bag twenty odd wins together.

  5. Yes, gutted, he had that in the bag.

  6. Do we know if the visor was faulty or if it was human error?

  7. Is the chippy still there in Ramsey? Great chips!

I also had a lovely beef in black bean from the chinese round the corner the last time i was there and sat on the harbour eating it, delicious.

  8. I've not been past the Trawlerman recently (I guess that is the one you mean by Parliament Square) but it's Facebook presence is current so I guess it is still open - we tend to go to "Bourne Plaice" in Market Place - that was definitely open on Saturday night

  9. Thanks bud I did contemplate doing that, But decided to go with soft panniers for future trips, had some soft foam padding covering the bodywork and all looks good..

  10. Nice picture for the album at the gooseneck, shame it was pretty foggy once we got up to Joeys. But one ticked off the bucket list.
