I could come with a lot of moral questions, but i choose not to, just to keep the tone calm Maybe it is just worth having a rethink of the sound level after all? Could the bike sound as good (but not as loud) at 100db, but keep your neighbours happier? Just think of the local ice-cream van, when it comes into your estate. The poor 20w speakers are getting a total blast, and when you think about it, the sound quality is just phenomenally bad. Would it be improved if the sound was tripled? I would say no. Louder is Not better. It is only louder.
stick a few bricks in a cement mixer and leave that on for the day, it will really piss of your neighbours and they might encourage you to go out on your bike
Many moons ago,a friend of mine had an FZR1000 with a V loud Vance and Hines can.To keep the locals happy he fitted a simple cable operated butterfly, which seemed to work very well.
I regularly commute on my Multi with full termi. As I leave at about 06.40 I leave the baffle in during the week, and remove it at weekends for playing. Conversely the 1098 runs open pipes all the time unless I hit noise limits at trackdays. Its just a case of being sensible with it in most cases innit.
if they complain about noise at low revs then keep it on high revs for a while when they complain about that go back to low revs if it aint loud its a hairdryer
Descision made!!! D B Killers oot the morn, will tell her still in and go well canny oot the estate........thanks to all the boys and girls for good replys, have to say this is a very nice forum to be part of, nite nite peeps.......
