  1. was going to gett them powdercoated Black, but fitted them to see what they looked like and 10/10 of those that have seen them in the flesh reckoned :upyeah: so for now at least they will stay

  2. Dont powder coat them, have them re-anodised. Should have bought the black ones in the first place (like me :p)

Also, what on earth possesed you to polish the exhaust? Looks grim in my opinion lol, do you secretly lust after owning something from a small american manufacturer that specialise in turning petrol into a lot noise and a little bit of movement?

Can't knock the forks mind :D

  3. :upyeah::wink:

  4. How can anyone diss polished system?! And the gold looks better with this paint scheme than the red imho

  5. Looking great so far....

Get rid of those pesky Lambda sensors tho....the DP ecu doesn't use them, and if your not changing the ecu have them turned off in the standard Ecu and plug them......fiddling with your fuelling for the euro emissions bollocks :frown:

But it's a big :upyeah: At this point.

  9. I just have an aversion to chrome/mirror polished metals. Clearly it's a personal thing and if it ticks the right boxes for other people then that's all groovy. To me it just looks too gaudy, much the same as a blazer lathered in sequins. It works in Vegas but not so much over here.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see the finished product.

  10. You've got to polish termi's......it helps hide and remove the spatter that the blind monkey that welded it left behind.

  11. I like to keep the pipes clean, but again, not a fan of the full polishing.

  13. Old ones....lol Killing me.....lol As for polishing Termis you lot tying to spoil my pocket money....lol You've got to polish them as said weld splatter from the crude mig they use, extrusion marks, dents, blobs of mig wire and so on, but then what do you expect for £2400.00ish! Looks nice cleaned up, I did mine but left my full Ti Akra...BUT Akra on Ducati just look big and bulky unlike those nice new style Termis! Anyway it's Duke, it has to have a Termi, peas and mash!

  14. +1 on TI pipes needing to be as is and burnt!

Strawberrys n custard anyone?.....I'm all for fitting the proper exhausts to a Ducati too...even if they do need loads of TLC out of the box!

  15. I'm not knocking Termi but they could do a little more, but I wouldn't have anything else shame Ducati had to dump that nice Ti system for the stainless one on CCs bike this year that was the nuts...Termi don't even purge the system before welding them up.... Anyway come on Roy get some more pics up let's see them wheels and gear all together!

  16. I can just imagine how coke'd up the inside of the welds must be with no argon purge in there.....

Anyway like you said the shite finish keeps you in pocket money!

  20. Personal touch? More like a full nelson followed by a body slam.

Kidding, and I've always liked those wheels.
