I was looking across, through the fog, at the hills that had a brief smattering of snow on them in the middle of the night. Then I gradually became aware that I was being watched from a tree in the garden of the neighbour opposite. Certainly a nonchalant looking chap. I must have caught him mid fart.
Diesel heater? I have an Eberspacher in my van and it’s absolutely amazing. When I was last up in the Highlands it was -10 outside and a toasty 27 degrees inside. The only issue I have with it is that Iggy seems to think it’s his personal heater and so he sleeps right next to and sometimes blocks the outlet, which trips a safety cut off switch.
aye, it's a dugs life. yip, a diesel heater. essential. all year round. and time is never waisted when yer hingingoot with yer wains
Definitely. Particularly because now he’s working (trainee teacher) and three nights a week he’s training for fights, we don’t see as much of each other as we used to. It’s a sign of a strong relationship if you can spend the best part of 4 days cooped up with someone in a fibreglass box and the only problem you have is triggering a nasty headache due to laughing so much.
strange init. (apologies for the thread hijack jez) i'v got GlenCoe Ski centre just a few miles south and Aonoch Mor just a few north. but we rarely get snow. i have to go back a couple of years to find this.
Anyone out riding? I once (probably about 7 years ago) commuted on a KTM 990 two hours in about six inches of snow. Thought it was a great experience at the time...
I have done that when I was younger and stupider. Thankfully I was on a Yamaha Virago, which was low enough to let me use my feet like the outriggers on a skidoo.
hmm, we where out and about today, so maybes aye, maybes naw. lets see where the Mrs pics takes us. . all year round biking? yip, back in the day when i was an apprentice. when we got snow. lots of it. i didnt bother with a car licence until i was about 20odd.
8 days of snow warnings for a piddly inch of slush, they'd have been better off warning us about the strong winds and torrential rain i listened to in bed all night long (and that soaked me to the skin twice this morning on our various walks). As grim as it gets for a "first morning back after xmas" etc...
