PB - My intention was not to offend you, but to point out that a simple "who" could be seen as disrespectful. Your posts, and mine, on this thread are a clear indication of how words alone are not always enough to convey clear meaning and intent. I take your point in post #19, but that would be in a verbal exchange, which is a different environment entirely; which sort of proves the point. I should have been more polite in my response, and for that I apologise.
For those that had never heard of him, the good news is there's a treasure trove of great music for you to discover that many of us grew up with and that inspired a generation of highly respected musicians. I was fortunate to get into his first album in about 1971/2 and was hooked from then on. He struck me as a gentle soul with an immense talent for minimum effort. Listen to 'Call the doctor' - so laid back, like its sung from his hammock. Genius! Yes, there's a huge slice of musical magic out there waiting for you. R.I.P. JJ
