Thanks Boomer, so are you saying if I fit the adaptor to the near side I have to remove both sides? Which side is the nut and which side the bolt head, assuming you’re saying it’s a straight through bolt from side to side of the trellis frame?
Its one long bolt that you remove completely, and swop over to the other side of the bike when refitting that screws into the adapter on the side stand side of the bike, so the bolt head is now on the other side of the bike from the original fitment
Jeeeezzzz. Looks scary! Not sure I’d want to do that every time I wanted to work underneath the bike.
Answered my own question. I see the lug, that the top of the jack adaptor goes into, replaces the nut so it has to be reversed (as the jack lifts from the near side and the nut is normally on the offside). Thanks for all you help. Just need to get the bottom adaptor fitting they sent me replaced now as it doesn’t fit the swing arm pivot. They’re looking into my order to see what went wrong resulting in the wrong part being sent from 1Jac
You can’t see it in the photo but the engine is jacked up as well, the straps just make sure it doesn’t fall off the jack. That pic has the rear axle stand in place as well, but at one stage both front & rear ends were removed so it was just jack & safety straps.
