come full circle and now looking at a something like this for now - better bike when weather improves DRZ400 KLX250 TTR250 FMX650 He may make up his mind sometime soon I have no idea where he gets it from
The DRZ will do everything that he will ever need and parts / servicing will be far lower than others, Suzuki are doing some parts cheap this month as well, check out the Suzuki web for details.
OK from KTM The 2012 ones can but not the 2013 ones as they aint got their shit together But looks like we'll be getting something older until July when he's 18 anyway
Of that list it has to be the DRZ. But Sir may also like to consider the the older KTM Duke 2 or LC4 if he's desperate to go Austrian.
he wants to get to work 20 miles a day town/lanes green lane take a pillion Hard to find an allrounder so thinking DRZ or similar until the summer and hes saved more - then 690 KTM and an old kicker for off road
Get a DRZ trailie rather than a supermoto, then when he's got the KTM the DRZ becomes the dirt mongrel. Simples.
or whatever the modern eqivilent of a 600 bandit is fig, only really up on sportsbikes and off road bikes ; ) , though did once ride a 1200 bandit, twas fun
in that case, the DRZ400 sounds the best all rounder in off road trim not supermoto as the fig man says, obviously ive not been paying attention : ) , might be lucky to pick up one with both enduro and supermoto wheels, seem to be a good starter bike down in devon & cornwall
2002 KTM LC4 640 BLACK RED SUPERMOTO OFFROAD | eBay 2008 (08) Suzuki DRZ 400S 400cc Dual Purpose Black | eBay perhaps I could just give him to you two for a weekend
the DRZ looks the biz, but will need a 18inch rear & 21inch front wheel if he wants to off road lane it, supermoto wheels are smaller and cannot get enduro tyres to fit them, yep send him down will take him on the devon/cornwall border run, will probley run rings round me, him , young and brave, me , old and wise
Well, I did actually prefer Lambrettas; but it seemed everyone around me had a Vespa, so I assumed I would still be shunned*** if I chose a Lambretta again. *** I wonder if it was because I wore a leather jacket and proper bike boots?
