Japanese MotoGP Motegi - possible spoilers

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by damodici, Oct 25, 2013.

  1. That should be one more race win than Marquez

  2. Even after being black-flagged he is still ahead on points. That makes him crap, does it..?

  3. I have never said he is crap.

    He is outstanding.

A rider with an amazing style. He is fearless.

    Watching him race is fantastic.

Watching him make moves be doesn't need to make, which will draw huge complaints from Yamaha ..... This I am not a fan of.

You see Figaro, I don't take the view that rider X is a God or a GOAT or a demon. I look at them with a bit more objectivity.

  4. Or I put it another way you say MM has swept all before him.

I say he hasn't because Lorenzo has won more races.

I haven't said MM is crap. I haven't said he won't be champion.

What I have said is that JL has won more races. That is a fact.

Your statement is an assertion which I do not believe can be substantiated. The facts tell a different story, and that is that this season has been a bit of a ding dong battle.

No one has swept anyone away since Rossi was winning the championship by 100 points or more and winning races from 15th on the grid or whatever.

  5. Lorenzo hit Marquez from behind, by the rules Lorenzo is at fault, and has said so himself. So all this pontificating about what has and hasn't, and what should and shouldn't happen is just empty bullshit.

  6. What I'm asserting is that a motogp rookie has come along and was ready to win the title at his first attempt, 3 races before the end of the season, until Dorna and Bridgestone fucked up. And even after that debacle he is still leading the points going into the last round. Do you think that is insubstantiable? I really couldn't give a stuff who has won the most races, fact is the most consistent rider with the most points will win the title - and that still looks like being Marquez, and is still an incredible feat.

Please feel free to disagree. I'm sure you will.

  7. Interesting comparison of MotoGP debut seasons.....

  8. no, I agree entirely. But having a great season does not equate to "sweeping all aside", especially not when JL has beaten him more than vice versa.

i just to buy into the way you hype some riders to the sun and back. They just can't do any wrong, even though riders with more experience who have earned the right to have an opinion by actually winning a GP championship are just rubbished or their opinions ignored, by both forum pundits or the riders themselves.

lastly, the PI debacle was MM and his close confidents fault. No one else's. Rossi knew it was a black flag, as did those in his team who used to be Stoners crew, but are excluded from the magic circle.

    Here is the rule
    2. Every rider will be required to enter the pits and change to his second machine with fresh tyres at least once during the race. In normal circumstances this means that the rider must change machine only at the end of lap 9 or lap 10.

    It was a stupid mistake.

    This is very interesting

  9. Oh, come on, you're every bit as biased as me, only toward different riders.
