but there are obviously some exceptional drivers,, of current crop who would not want to have Alonso or Hammy in their car. maybe also Riccardo shows some promise.
I was hugely disappointed by Kimi this year - after what he achieved with Lotus I was thinking he would do wonders with the Ferrari, but no... I also had high hopes for Grosjean, but he didn't live up to his potential either... One driver I would like to see back is Robert Kubica. He never got the chance to show what he could really do... The three I would like to see battling it out for the top spot next year are Ricciardo, Rosberg and Massa - can't see it happening though... And, at the risk of being pedantic, only 22 drivers get to take part in each race; however 24 drivers raced in F1 this year, with a further 13 taking part in development and testing...
After Ferrari reportedly paid Kimi 20 million dollars not to race in the year he was pushed out I found it incredible that they re hired him.
Well, you're wrong about both Dennis and Hamilton. Ron Dennis is a highly annoying twat at times, but he is the beating heart of Mclaren, and they only went tits up when he released the reins to Martin Whitmarsh - now that man really is a waste of space. Last year's cars, drivers and strategy were already sealed before Dennis regained control. And Hamilton may look petulent, but off track he's courteous, thoughtful and intelligent. Kimi Raikkonen, on the other hand, was a stuck up little berk, and neither of them can hold a candle to Mclaren's new signing when it comes to prima donna behaviour. Jenson will come good when the car comes good. Not before.

I stopped watching it when it became a boring procession, about 8 years ago. I watch all kinds of Motorsport mainly classic cars and bikes, I go to goodwood every year. I have castrol r running in my veins. However I fail to be captured or stimulated by big business running a circus of over paid prima donnas driving mobile adverts with zero drama and tension. Just my opinion, that no doubt others don't share.
But any kind of motorsport, even F1, is better than watching a buch of lawn-faries playing kiss-ball...
Bear in mind the Lotus was an undriveable dog this year. Grosjean deserves to be in a quicker car. Sadly Kubica has a wrist movement issue that will prevent him ever returning to F1. Alonso was such a disaster for McLaren last time with the resulting £55 Million (I think) fine that his threat brought about. How Ron Dennis can ever work successfully with him again, seems really hard to believe. Alonso is a very special driver though and will get the most out of the team in the first year back with Honda. F1 is not for everyone, but I can't wait until the new season starts.
I reckon 2 half hour races would be good. The fastest runners in the first race, start the second at the back.
The thing for me is I see so much true racing be it bikes, classic cars, modern touring cars etc etc at classic events , national race series, wsbk, moto gp 2 & 3, bsb etc etc I struggle with what place F1 holds today yes it's technology driven, but where is the true wheel to wheel racing? The drama? They talk about the use of tactics and strategy, if I want that I will watch chess. Then when you occasionally get a great race they big it up as being incredible and what F1 is all about. Fair enough but shouldn't that be every race? Or am I missing something?
Can't argue with that Baldy... That's why I go to watch speedway - more close racing in one evening than an entire season of F1. And total commitment - in a sport that can, and sometimes does, put people in hospital. And these guys earn less in a season than an F1 driver gets paid per day...
