Even gods have their lesser days... nothing human is perfect... but i understand your reaction... it's like you getting down on the mss and she asks what soup you 'll want in the morning
well believe it ! i was there ! haha ... i couldnt believe it either at the time , trust me , their reputation has being the best is what took me there in the first place .. was so disapointed. When I went into Italia a few weeks later , i was chatting to Tony Lembo for over an hour about Ducatis before he even asked what I had come in for , such a difference.
Even though I had loads of issues with my new bike bought from them I thought on the whole the service they offered was great (2010-2012). Probably had most contact with John Burrows there and always found him helpful, John Hackett always said hi if was there and often stopped for a chat and offered Coffee while I was waiting for the bike.
A big thanks to Rick today. He's been phoning around to find some RS oil cooler pipe connectors, which are out of stock at Ducati and no idea when more will be made. Also, he's going into the workshop to turn some ti parts for me. Very cool and great service. I just wish they were closer, but with their race experience, they know what I'm trying to explain over the phone!
I dropped in yesterday(26th) for a couple of 50 pence grommets and a key ring. My wife and I were offered a cup a coffee, we took a 30min walk around the showroom looking at some incredible machinery *** without anybody annoying us *** and left knowing I'd be back soon. Now that's my idea of an outstanding customer experience. Thanks Coventry Ducati !!!
I went to JHP by default... it was my nearest Dealer at the time I was vaguely interested. It's like going into a museum of modern art, except you're allowed to buy everything ! The pressure-free sales technique was exactly the right tone for my personality and even though I wasn't ready to order at the time, I was now a 'valued customer' who was recognised and welcomed even though I hadn't made up my mind in any way yet. I was kept in touch with, telling me what was coming in and eventually my wallet and my mind came to the same conclusion... and I put in my order. Since taking delivery of my new Panigale Tricolore, I have had nothing but consideration and friendly smiles, even if I am a somewhat irritating git at times ! Any little issues have been sorted out without argument and all the workmanship is absolutely first class. Looking through the viewing window over the workshops is a genuine delight... spotless working conditions and incredible care taken of every component handled by their technicians. I may sound rather over effervescent over this Dealership, but they really are that good... obviously I whole-heartedly recommend them too !

I had £500 csah in my pocket for the deposit , i was excited to say the least. got into the showroom , no other customers there , a salesman came into the showroom , i tried to speak to him but he brushed past me saying one momenet sir ! he went to a phone and orded sausage sandwiches, poped his head out of the office door and shouted to the parts lad ...do you want sauce ! , has he came off the phone i tried to speak again and he brushed past agian saying one minute and disapeared into the back somewhere !.. I had lost my excitement and exited the shop never to return , got the 1098 from Italia in the end " Heavens ! This must have been a particularly difficult day for both they and you. My own experience is so completely at odds with your own, on the many occasions I have been there, that I can only conclude there must have been something stressful going on in the background that only sausage sandwiches could alleviate . A customer is never wrong but maybe a stronger introduction of yourself might have cut through the need for a sausage-based foodstuff... who knows ? The very fact you are on this Forum indicates that your interest in things Ducati is undimmed and I hope and trust you have found somewhere that was able to sate your desires. Good fortune, Eddie.
For every 10 visitors there is likely one who has a negative experience....I have had both ends of the scale. My initial visit for a major service was great...aladins cave, friendly bunch....just the sort of thing to make you spend money in there again ... so of course I did just that and returned for a major service....alas a very negative experience that time round.... oh well, I hope to find someone I will religiously return to time again with my 996 and hyper sp.... ducati Manchester will do the maiden service on the hyper, depending on the customer experience will decide if I return to spend my hard earned cash there. Should they fail to impress and keep me happy then Woods is the next stop....
Yes they are an option, I can't say I see much of woods on here.......and if they sell several marques then maybe I prefer solely a ducati shop...or am I being picky? Lol
