@pete.incorrect again, just by the prospect of getting the 50.1-49.9 has given us more control guaranteed already. which will make most happy you most of of all will know devo max although requested wasnt allowed to be put on the ballot. westminster thought they could put the fear into people and get a big majority no thanks, i cant remember how you put it but i can look back if you like. so ether way it's a win win.
I encountered that attitude sometimes with RBS even when I did bank with them! I haven't noticed what possibilities exist for an independent Scotland to have a Central Bank of its own, but it strikes me that perhaps the relevant bits of the ill-fated RBS and HBOS were cut off and welded together, perhaps with Clydesdale on the side (are there more Scottish banks?) then the rest of the UK could muddle on with what's left. I finally left RBS when they told me that they were closing their English branches and would be planning to move me to another bank (strangely, not NatWest which was next door to my local branch, and part of the same group).
Its a huge gamble on an uncertain future with zero chance of going back. I dont think it will pay off. I think it'll be pretty much the same as before as the same people are involved. Bit like opening a small food shop right next door to a massive Waitrose. Only differing by selling a small niche product that no-one really needs or wants.
oh look a twee scottish cat picture. Now for sale along with edinburgh rock, wee tartan dolls and shortbread.
I always hated edinburgh rock. Its the Scots in England that buy that shit. The English just buy the whisky.
Strange that a 16 year old Polish kid that lives in Scotland can vote, but a 30 year old who was actually born in Scotland but, due to the requirements of serving his country, currently resides elsewhere cannot... Maybe the people who set up the referendum were scared that the majority of servicemen would vote no ? Seems like vote-rigging to me...
Which leads us to Wales - as a Welsh freind of mine once said "Wales will never vote to leave the UK, too many English people live there!"
Not if the hundreds of disillusioned, disenfranchised ones around here are anything to go by, they're not !
