959 Jpdiag On A Panigale

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by Giff, Feb 11, 2018.

  1. Yes. My motorcycle model is 2016, I chose "Any Panigale or 2013 and up". The engine temperature, ambient temperature, etc. are displayed, but the values are randomly displayed. Actually, the engine warning lamp is lit on my motorcycle dash panel. However, the error code is not displayed. So I'm trying to use Jpdiag this time. We'll let you know when we receive a reply from Jpdaiag.

  2. Okay... an EOBD/CEL present on the dash doesn't tell you a whole lot, does it? Without knowing for sure, the fault could be with one of the network nodes (BBS, ECU, for instance), or a communication problem between them, which might explain why the information isn't being displayed. Hopefully, JP will be able to provide further insight. Curious to here what you come up with.

  3. just followed this to the letter and it worked a treat. Used it on windows 10 and it’s pretty much exactly the same.
Thanks for taking the time to create an idiots guide.

  4. Always impressed when people develop helpful tools like this, but it's a shame it doesn't/can't go that bit further and allow you to remap your ECU like GuzziDiag/IAWDiag does on the RSV4. With that one, you can install maps, such as the Aprilia Race Map, and do the throttle and handle self learning steps, which are required after a map change.

  5. The software remains in an ongoing state of development, and perhaps those capabilities will one day become available. As a side note to viewers, JP continues to work on several platforms, but as the software is currently offered for free, he must rely solely on donations in order to purchase the ECU's and dedicated cabling required to perform debugging operations. Everyone loves "free" (understandable), but any and all donations can be thought of as an investment that will benefit us all moving forward. Donations can be made at any time... you may have downloaded MelcoDiag two years ago, but you can click on the "Donate" button under MelcoDiag's "Main" tab and make a donation today. JP also welcomes constructive criticism and feedback, as that too helps to improve each software platform. Essentially, we can help him, help us.
