I don't get to ride mine enough to warrant cleaning it that often, I blow the dust off with a low pressure air hose and then cover it up. Only when it hits a spot of dirt\dust or rain do I set about serious cleaning. If you ride any bike it will get dirty. But as two of them have been completely rebuilt and quite recently they remain pretty much as new.
