You should have seen the girl behind the counter of a service station just before Venice. I couldn't get my phone out without looking like an old perv though
There is a Ducati dealer in Mestre right next to the main route in to Venice (before you reach the causeway) that I was not allowed to visit!
Venice this morning I even watched a wedding where the bride arrived by Gondola, not something you see everyday
Great to follow your trip and whetting my appetite for a trip back to Italy on the bike. Try and find the Cichetti bars on the back streets. Great local snacks and wine
Spent all day here. Interesting place and didn't have our eyeballs taken out with prices as expected. Some massive cruise ships in and the place was full of Americans. My mate was obsessed with showing us where the gondola scene was shot for James Bond's Moonraker. Who says I can't do culture?
Oh and a bin shot or 2 for @Ducbird I hope you appreciate the effort V. Everyone is snapping pics of the buildings and arty stuff, I'm snapping bins
Rob,make sure you go into the St Mark's Basilica well worth it..very blingyand how's the Ducati going
Never missed a beat, touch wood. Had a day off it today, heading to Bologna to the Ducati museum tomorrow.
Passed a guy taking photos on The Stelvio pass yesterday with his Website on a massive advertising board. Nice little earner he had there at 8 Euros a pop.
They're all over the Alps these days, nice little earner. Trouble is now I've changed my bike I've got to go out there again to get them redone
Yep, that day we we're photographed five times, only one we didn't note the website address, those were the best of the bunch (both the same company but different photographers). One was on the Col du Galibier, the other on the Col d'Izoard.
You staying somewhere different every night? Quite fancy a long road trip but it was bad enough in a car, never mind un packing a bike every night!
