Well i have decided not to bother if all that bodywork has to come off including the fuel tank & hoses. The key is only in my pocket anyway. Suppose i was thinking of been a flash get. The lads also said fit that & ride on your own. Joking i think.
The fuel tank does not have to come off to fit the fuel filler cap. But the bodywork will have to come off anyway every time the bike has a major service, or any major work done, so it is nothing to be frightened of. You could get an electronic fuel cap and keep it back to be fitted at service time.
Thanks for the input guys. I am not going to bother as i cannot really see any advantage other than putting my hand in my pocket to get the key out over just pressing a button or whatever it does. I only fill up once or twice on a ride out anyway.
