I'm in 2 minds about them - had for 5 years, generally ok, but a few times has gone into meltdown mode and won't open. I think you need to get the timing spot on, as when I've tried to open too early, that's when it gets confused?
Not confused. But it hasn't released the lock fully. The lid then lifts off slightly then is is a bit stuck cos the sensor thinks it is opened. All it takes is to lift the lever, push it down firmly to seat the cover properly then cycle the ignition. There is plenty of time to open the cap. Most problems occur when we get too hasty. Turn off ignition. Kickstand down, then open cap.
Keyless Fuel Filler from '12 MTS (p/no. 96783410E) fitted onto new DVT this morning. No problems at all.
I ordered one (three in the end!) and none of them worked. I've a 2013 and wanted the convenience. I was told it was a design fault. Looks like many have had a good experience
