  1. if its fixed to the floor it makes freeing the wheel a lot harder. I never fix my chock so even with a melted front tyre in it when it comes to releasing I just pull the bike back which rolls the chock with it still attached to the tyre then give the chock a boot forward, piece of piss.

  2. Ok cool.
I ask because the first time I took a bike in van I strapped it like a twat and I smashed my S1000rr up so I’m super cautious now!

Yeah I’ve had the front tyre stuck to the bulkhead before and was shocked at how much force it needed to break free!
I’ve heard putting a rag in first helps?

Although some say I’m so slow the tyres never get warm

  3. ahhhh sheeeeeet. Pics?

I did nearly roll my sprinter at the bottom of wrotham hill near brands with my 600 in the back and it didn’t go over. Fuck knows how.

I did park it in the gravel at Oulton the week later tbf. Cheques and Balances

I think I used up all my luck in that one sitting and then 2020 came to even things up

  4. Can’t win them all I guess!

I put it on the rear stand and strapped it over the seat, gave it the earthquake test and seemed ok. First roundabout it slipped forward which put some slack on the strap and then let it just fall over. Lesson learnt!
On the way to my first trackday I was gutted!

  6. At last years Ducati Day at Donny it was in the low 30s and my Motolug trailer was in the full sun all day, as was the wheel chock. The tyres were nice and hot when I rolled the 996 up the ramp then they met the scorching metal.
What a **** that was to get free when I got home.

  7. Yeah rear paddock.
Cost about £600 to fix and then I crashed on my second track day causing similar damage! Surprised I carried on but glad I did!

Atleast the photo jockey got it on camera for you. Whenever I crash they miss it :(

  11. Yeah I stood behind the tyres with the photographer and we were both very happy he got the photos and had a good laugh.
They actually gave me them for free as I was a bit down at the end of the day!

Got to accept the risks if you want to play so just fixed it and got on with life. I was actually back out on track the same day, missed one session swapping rear sets and gaffer taping it so wasn’t all lost!

  12. I put it down to lack of skill not luck! Luckily I was very slow and it was only cosmetic damage.

  15. Me neither, I leave the front wheel chock loose. By far the easiest thing for me is to crack the the tyre away from the chock with a breaker bar. It’s a doddle after that.

  16. Bugger. Bet that put you off your roundabout exit when it went over :scream::scream:
