  3. Far too busy for Boobies today! Doesn't often happen ;)

Rear Engine Mount tube in place, even that wasn't symmetrical, luckily had a piece of scrap with the correct bend in from earlier. Also made the 2 front braces to the front down tubes out of my trial seat rails so back to no wasted tube now :) - soon I will find a piece that's easy!

  5. Looks like the modified version will progress much quicker than the replica as there is a lot more to design & manufacture on the replica. This engine is a Stage 5 1260cc Pro Stock motor putting out 155BHP @ Rear Wheel - not bad for an old 8 Valver! So this motor will go in the modified version. I still need to source an engine for the rep and start making the frame once this one is complete. I think I will go for a GPZ1100A1 or A2 motor with a mild tune - high comp pistons, cams and exhaust to try and get it towards 130 BHP - originals were said to be 140 BHP but I guess that was at the crank.
At least building the moded version will give a little quicker progress - just had a look at lining up the Swing Arm and hopefully it will not be too difficult.
I love the look if the Penske shock with the 999 Swing Arm!

  9. Didn't wait too long.
Waiting half hour and the 8hr round trip was well worth it.
I can't thank, or praise Chad @rcv4 enough. His skills are amazing. He is a no nonsense straight-up guy with tons of talent and understanding of what is being asked of him.

  10. Yep, he's happy too, in fact they both are :upyeah:
