Thanks for the interest, it's good that people can see why I feel the need to build these... it will be quite a slow process but will be good when things start coming together a bit more - hope to have more to share soon...
Off topic slightly. But do you mean jag Land Rover? If so, do you still get priv on ford? I ask because I've got guys in Liverpool , Dagenham, and bridgend but need more places. You refer someone to buy a car, we pay you £50. It's not every month but when we need some extra deals. They are very very cheap. If done well it's a nice little earner for not a lot of effort. Did 100 cars into Bridgend last year through one guy.
Yes, Jag Land Rover. Not sure what deals can be had as I work for a supplier, albeit we have design responsibility. The JLR people get some good deals I think but never looked in to it as even with the discounts they are too much for 4 wheels! Don't know what you mean by priv though...
No worries. Yeh you wouldn't get it if you not directly employed by them. Priv is a deal for employees on new cars. For example a brand new fiesta zetec for £99 a month. Swap it for another in 9 months etc. Was worth a try as it's hard to get into the factory's with a bird dog.
I have been working on a Duke like that one this week...there wont be much ridicule Stu your making a top job of it,see you both tomoro.
Hope you didn't have to wait too long, that certainly looks worth waiting for!!! - we were having too much fun to worry about you seeing as you only have a short drive home Frame is tacked together and seems to line up as I had hoped - feels like a major step has now been completed and I can progress with the next stage of fitting all the brackets, bracing tubes and gussets! Well happy, many thanks for today Chad, much appreciated!!!
After Chad finished tacking the frame together I had a think last night about the next stage for the frame construction and realised there's approx 50 smaller tubes, brackets and bracing pieces to make and fit before completing for the final stage of welding :Wideyed: Just spent two and a half hours doing the first bracing tube now - it had to be the correct distance to the Engine and parallel with the cam cover too so took a while but it fit's like a glove and holds on tight with just one strategically placed jubilee clip
