Ref the anti posts on running the bike up in the garage - running it up to full temp., 102 deg on mine, when the fans kick in, and leave it at that for a few minutes is the way to do it, that takes care of the condensation.
The advive of tyre manufacuteres is to actually increase tyre pressure by around 25% for on rim storage.
I just ride it once a month minimum. Never had any issues at all. My bikes are kept in a dry warm garage though.
You must be havin a Giraffe, is it April the 1st. I expect someones gonna tell us they do special constant 18c winter tyre warmers next. I for one didn't spend 1000s to have it stood up for half the year and the other half putting it together in spring, cleaning it all summer, and taking it apart in the autumn. No time left to ride it. Its a Ducati, it gets older, it corrodes, it looses value, it costs a fortune to keep in good serviced running order, if you can't afford that get a Yamasaki.
Many of us (most?) have Yamasakis as well and we use them in the salt laden winter. Maybe you should do the same and give your Ducati a break
Well if the weather stays like it is I can't see the 848 sitting idle for long. Went out yesterday for an hour, bliss. Empty roads at 11am!
