I watched it, Philipsen and Girmay pretty much rolled off and let him win, which kind of tells you the level of respect he's earnt across many years of peletons. He seems to be wanting to stay in the sport in some kind of coaching/support capacity which can only be a good thing too.
While we wait for next year’s Grand Tours, this fantastic film offers cycling inspiration—it’s film festival selection was well deserved.

Aleix off to race cycle bikes https://www.eurosport.com/cycling/a...ca-guercilena-aprilia_sto20063436/story.shtml
Didn’t sr45 enter some pro races (not world level obvs) this year? Seem to remember something on the socials. Aleix is certainly spreading his love around since leaving his El Capitan role at Aprilia though isn’t he. Testing for thee Onda and cycling with the yanks.
No idea about Redding, the Aleix thing just popped on to my cycling feeds on SoMe. He was riding S-Works bikes at one time, guess they’ll be in his garage at his home in Andorra now he’s with Trek.
Never hidden my admiration for Aleix. He deserves a long and happy retirement and it looks like he’s made a very good start to it. Testing moto gp bikes and vip treatment at the Grand Tours, what’s not to love about that !!
Decent couple of days for Ineos and it’s not often they can say that lolz https://www.cyclingnews.com/races/uae-tour-2025/stage-2/results/
Just finished catching up with the Omploop, first of the one day classics!! Won’t spoilt it but certainly more entertaining than the big engine version today. Chapeau!!
Tadej Pogacar’s just fallen off his bike, road rashed half his skin off, got back on and smashed the whole field by a minute and more at the strade bianchi. Chapeau my mate.
