I’ll watch the highlights for today this evening but I think tomorrow is the day he’s probably going to target with the uphill finish?
Well that got the pulse pumping today, what a battle in the Alps with Rock stars and their roadie's performing like they're running on duracell batteries, with more to follow tomorrow.
I wonder why the giro was so badly affected by covid withdrawals (nearly a third of the field over the course of it) but afaik there hasn’t been anything of note at the tdf.. (Another sensational stage today btw )
That's been part and parcel of the Tour for years with dicks that want TV coverage regardless of safety.! For me this year with the Giro and this Tour have been a vintage year for the fans. By the looks of things, both riders want this one badly.
Pity about the spectators interfering with the motorcycles would be my take on it. Interesting assessment of the events on the ITV4 highlights package.
We each have our own view, I’ll stand with the motorcycles were in error. As seems the view of the tour organisers as both riders have been pulled out of any further interaction with the race.
Have they been pulled completely; or suspended for 1 day? https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/tv...-for-stage-15-after-pogacars-attack-blocked/# The motorcycles were presumably authorised to be there, but blaming them conveniently absolves the organisers of any blame. Two incidents in two days, common factor, spectators coming into the road. Given the number of comments from the race teams, I'll stand with the spectators' behaviour being the issue. Part of the ITV4 analysis pointed out the the race organisers had organised a sprint finish but had failed to put barriers out. There was another sprint stage today where there were barriers out that the spectators had completely ignored and just come out into the road.
A next stage suspension and a monetary fine. It’s a closed road event so any motorised vehicle will have authorisation to be on that stretch of road.
I just got the last ten minutes with miss hot legs, so i'll catch up with the 8pm highlights after my walk, but one thing is for certain that other person is like a bad smell in the mens toilets, he won't go away for sure over the next few days.!
Genuinely hoped it was going to be tight going into Paris but JV is on an absolutely different level isn’t he. Been an incredible 2 weeks though even if he was ultimately sand bagging lol Shame neither of them (or both) will be racing the Vuelta.
Gutted as a fan like others, i wanted that battle between those two riders raging for another week, nobody expected that one, but at least if they play their cards right they've second & third places, which ain't bad after three weeks work. At the end of the day without him it would have been a boring race, a man like that only has so many handgrenades in his back pocket, roll on 2024.!
