Read his book, great read. Armstrong hated him for outing him, to the point he had Trek close down LeMond cycling brand. Supposedly the last of the ‘clean racers’. A very innovative racer early adopter of aero bars and such like.
Yeh it showed the time trial in 89 where he had aero lid and bars. Strange to see back then id imagine. What a c*** that Fignon was too. Horrible weasel of a man spitting at cameramen etc...described as a "character" in the doc of course. Ive been told this is what i need to watch next although i dont subscribe to NF.. Tour de France: Unchained (TV Series 2023– ) - IMDb
It'll be the first time trial finish next year in Nice since 89 *funnily enough. (and also the first time ever it wont finish in Paris)
It’s an epic climb, ride it as part of a sportive after about 100 mile in 40 degree hot day. Lucky there were hoses over the climb at certain points. Never again!!!
It’s a worthy watch along with the Cav documentary if that’s still up. Free trial opportunity may come up?
We were going to go next year if ADH was part of the route it but looks like we'll be waiting at least another year.
Managed to borrow a login off a mate. Just watched the first episode and can see the whole lot being done by the time dark falls tonight lol. Absolutely sensational viewing.
Don’t forget the Cav documentary and the expose of Lance Armstrong. Although the book by Walsh is a very good read as are Tyler Hamiltons and Floyd Landis books.

I see Cav won his first sprint of the year at the tour of Colombia last werk. it’s happening and I don’t care what anyone says
Tour is a long way off, he could break something between now and LeTour. Personally I’d prefer EM to retain the crown.
Got this book for Christmas, really excellent insights into the TDF Etape by Richard Moore https://www.amazon.co.uk/Etape-unto...&dplnkId=7ff55263-fc9e-4a6d-b768-ae30c206008b
Never watched Merckx so its Cav all the way for me. I actually dont think hes going to do it but you can live in hope while hes still upright, riding a bike and winning sprints.
Some decent cycling coming back to eurosport the last week or two. Remco back in action at the tour of Algarve today (I genuinely think ES is the best value for money of any of the sports subscriptions if youre a sport nut)
First one day classic of the year today, just caught up on Eurosport https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2024/feb/24/omloop-het-nieuwsblad-jan-tratnik-cycling-report
Watched this earlier. The pog went from 81k out lol https://www.cyclingnews.com/races/strade-bianche-2024/elite-men/results/ Not the greatest spectacle but nice to see the season proper kick off.
First monument of the season today I enjoyed it lovely and sunny not many crashes and a great finish, even looked like Pidcock would win it with a few hundred to go. https://www.cyclingnews.com/races/milan-san-remo-2024/elite-men/live-report/
