  1. got one for a 748?

  2. Wow that's some stand, can hold your bike at that angle...

  3. No Nails or Polycell, I reckon.....

  4. That's no Angle - its zero degrees from vertical :)

  5. 90 Deg from horiz

  6. Mmmm, I have a 998 to use to fit one to over the weekend if I get time. I need to know if a 748 / 916 / 996 needs the same length as I imagine they may be a little different to a 998. Then I need to find some friend to measure then trial fit for feedback with one of the aforementioned bikes.
There was someone on here I was quite pally with once upon a time but I can't for the life of me think who it was :D

  13. Yeh agreed, but I'm competing against an established product that makes many claims so the perceived quality, the aesthetics, the performance and the overall 'marketing image' as well as price point are important. Remember even the mighty God Aircontec purchased the competitors products :Wideyed:

  16. I bought that product and it has transformed the starting of my engine. It was expensive but I consider the expense to have been well worth it.
However, that product does have plenty of room for improvement, not only in terms of cost but also in terms of ease of fitment.
It was fiddly to fit with distinctly sketchy instructions. The terminals were supposed to have been designed to neatly fit with the existing Ducati ones, especially the battery terminals. Well they just didn't.
The most frustrating part of fitting the whole kit was the last bit which should have been dead easy. The HiCap battery terminals and the Ducati ones just did not want to fit together and getting them all in place and in the battery box was something of a nightmare - I had to more or less jam them in.
Also, because I have a power commander fitted, as well as a battery charging/accessory socket, the existing terminal bolts were too short and I had to fit longer ones. Luckily I had some...
So, decent instructions and terminals that neatly nestle with the existing ones will be a big improvement over the HiCap kit, especially if you can keep the cost reasonable and maybe include a pair of longer terminal bolts. :)
