I'm 6'4 and after years and years of wearing stuff that never really fitted I took the plunge and had some made to measure leathers by Crowtree. Best thing I ever did, to have a 2 piece suit that actually fitted was pure heaven. Took ages to wear in but the bottoms are now the most comfortable thing to wear on a bike and they'll last for years. Sadly Crowtree are no longer around but what I'm saying is if you're tall and have the money you'll never regret the investment.
I'm 6'2" and not exactly small and I have been more than happy with my last two sets of Alpinestars. Suggest you go somewhere that has a good range and set aside a morning trying a few suits on. One thing I found that really helps is a good undersuit as it makes sliding in and out a lot easier.
