1200 Leo Vince Decat

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Beef, Mar 24, 2019.

  1. Loooks like a good job, did your man fit some sort of dB killer inside the decat somehow? If so where did it go? I am wondering if such a device could be added to my decat to reduce the noise.

  2. There’s quite a larger silencer section just below original can. Someone had already asked me if he’d make another, he will but he would need a bike. I’ve offered my bike if there’s enough interest.

  3. I’ve been considering a decat option but not something too extreme. Don’t want to have to go flashing ECU etc.

  4. I have done nothing to mine apart from add the ‘bit’ that fools the valve motor (thingamy jig!)

  5. I have one of those to put on & will go for a decat then if it’ll run well enough without. So, if your pal is going to knock some out for forum members I’ll happily join the list.

  6. OK, what year do you have?
Is there anyone on here who can say if there is a difference between the early & DVT exhaust systems?!

  7. I have a 2011 1200s with standard heads/cat and slip on termi. I have a healtech valve eliminator waiting for me to find a suitable decat link pipe.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  8. I already have the DUC-EE fitted and no flash, ok I have yet to ride it in anger but it sounded fine.

I can see I will have to get a decent slip on can with a dB killer in it.

  9. OK, spoke to Al, this is what he said:
    1-2 £450,
    3-5 £410,
    5+ £380

Like I said, no idea if the twin spark is different - but I may be able to borrow another mates bike if there’s enough interest.

  10. D
Does this fit the DVT? If so I’d be interested.

  11. I don’t know! I can’t believe no one knows though!

  12. I don’t think the decat’s on the -2014 bikes and the 2015+ DVT’s are the same.

Mivv do a 2014 decat and it doesn’t say it fits the DVT. If it did, they’d be saying it.

Dan moto in the States and Delkevic in Birmingham do DVT decat pipes.

  13. First ride out on the weekend, I know a 5db drop may not sound like much but the difference is amazing. I rode without earplugs for a while and it didn't blow my brains out:laughing:

Only issue I have is the RH pannier just catches the exhaust with the heatshield, he's going to square that for me when I can get over to him. (I didn't leave him the pannier!)

It appears that the DVT is a different exhaust so I can only offer my bike as a jig for 2010-2014 bikes.

If you are interested in a decat, drop me a PM and I will sort a date with Al to sort my issue and make more.

  14. Decat for Tspark is different to the DVT. 100% certain.

  15. Right, I am taking my bike up to Al in the next week or so as I can't fit the pannier (I know, I should have taken it with me the first time!!) The bike will be up there to adjust for pannier and to be the jig for anyone else.
    Two people have expressed interest
