I think I had my accident slightly before yours last year (mine was March) and I have only recently returned to riding. Partly because I struggled to bend my knee but I also have three 12 year olds who were not that keen to see me back on the bike. My accident happened on their school run route and on the way home they saw the wreck on the verge only an hour or so after it had happened. They immediately recognized the bike but it took a little time to get news to them that I was ok so it was a difficult time. But they know I love riding and they wouldn’t want me to stop. My knock also put me off a little too; it reminded me how long things take to repair when you are 48 years old! But I did really miss it and although for the first ride out I was a little rusty I quickly slipped back into it – which is more than can be said for my leathers as they are definitely smaller than they were last year when I took them off!
