So? What's your point? This thread is about life expectancy on tires not about your bike or my bike but you sure do like to harass me all the time with whatever I say, I simply stated in the beginning about how many kms I have on my tires not how I ride...like I said stop been such a douchebag & maybe you might get some respect!
It takes a very secure man to show the internet world the colour of the tires from your bike...good on you mate!
I reckon the yellow ones would look super cool on your ride man. I suppose having spent thousands on the bike you have to save money somehow so making a set of tyres last 12000km's is one way
Spending "thousands of dollars" on quality Italian parts as opposed to buying cheap Japanese parts ensures that my TIRES last a long time man! I guess that you spent all of your "thousands of pounds" getting off the British book of smiles!
12K!.....12K!.. Have you set DTC to 8? Wish I could get 12k. Spareparts is right though. You'd be better off with other tyres more suited to your style. SC are a pain to keep temp in at modest speeds/use. Terrible in the cold and wet they are. Sports touring tyres would warm up quicker for you and give you more confidence and grip. SC's are only at their optimum when up to temp. If you get 12k out of SC's then god knows how much you will get out of ST tyres. Nought wrong with being careful after a lengthy break but the SC's are not the tyre for you. They need the heat in them from abuse to work. You will get more from your bike putting ST tyres on. Good luck.
Try some rosso corsa 11. They are a good tyre, but may be a bit better suited and will last ages. They warm up quick and are still grippy. I've got some on my monster and they great.
indeed. its a jap fest on my stuff. Really, you dont want to get into a cock waving contest when you have a rizoma parts catalogue bike. You like it, and you like your track tyres for posing. Enjoy
I fail to accept a set of SC's could last that long. They look new on the edge, actually just off centre, so unless its all on a dyno maybe 500 miles would be my guess. They are so soft you would be thru the centre to the carcass by 3k, 4 absolute tops
At 3k mine are well shagged. Shove a coupe of track days in there and 2k tops. I'm just an average rider. Nothing special. They are great tyres though. I'll easily do 6k+ over the riding season.
Well they do. Just put your bike on the trailer next the hardley usefulson and you can get loads of miles in.
My Monster got through to the tyrecords in 2,000 miles on the Diablo Rosso 2, don't think I'll be trying the corsa versions...
