  1. I'd be wary about removing the deflector plate from the Lo beam, in case it affects beam pattern for MOTs.

    Also heard that although the beam deflector plates are removable on 1098, they were secured with screws, the plates got fixed (rivets?) on the 1198.

    I'm not saying don't do it that is entirely up to the individual, I'm just saying be cautious. I removed mine on the Hi it throws more light, but I wouldn't like to try putting that beam plate back in next to impossible I reckon.

  5. @bettes there was a lot of discussion over on one of the Guzzi forums I visit from time to time.

    The main problem with them according to some of the LED buffs were large current LEDs get very hot, which is contrary to what you'd think and the heat sinks on them are quite small.

    Its been a while since I looked into it, but I think as of right now HIDs are still more efficient than LEDs at higher wattage.

    After all that said one guy fitted them and did report back some good things

    H4 type LED headlight bulb...Anyone try one of these?
