I recon that’s a lens effect PB, re below is the chip sign leaning and is my Triumph very small or far away?
It looks it, but it all goes together ok. One of them was recoiled by a local engineering place, so it could be out a bit. The stud had broke
oh errr. Personally i wouldn't be happy about that, the engineering place appears to have not got the wire insert square or central to the original stud location as you say.
Its not an interference fit, and its been like that for a few years now, so I didnt worry. The studs are really hard to remove, they drilled it. Spark erosion is the best option if it was to happen in the future.
Hi, When you got casings vapour blasted, did they clean them or did you wash them out? Good thread thanks for sharing you rebuild. Cheers Gaz
Chap washed them, I did it again, but I bet theres still some there. Nasty stuff but its very fine glass so not as bad as sand
Yeah, should have asked when I did mine. Bloke said warm soapy water. Put them in a bigish tub and got the pressure washer on them as well. Pretty sure internals are ok, still a few threads to clean out. And might give then another going over and check water for any glass deposits. Cheers Gaz
Ive made some good progress recently, engines in frame, waiting on some parts for the alternator case, grommet etc and gear linkage seal. Front wheel back on, trying some other discs too see if theyre any better.
