  2. I Am am idiot.
    bike toppled over in a carpark at 2 mph. worst thing is it trapped my foot. Boots saved me and folding gear lever saved the bike. Two passers by lifted it enough for me to free myself. Foot is saw

  3. Hope the damage to the bike and to you are minimal, and won't curtail your trip.

  4. have a great trip fella.

    if you want a great road south towards the border, come off the M74 at J13 and take the A702 towards Abington and Crawford. That’s takes you down the Dalveen Pass and onto the A76, which is a nice twisty road to Dumfries where you pick up the A75 back to the M74. You may be knackered by then though.

  5. Just seen this. Sorry to hear that. Don’t beat your self up about it. We have all done that kind of thing. I dropped my Tiger 1050 with full luggage and girl friend in a car park at 0mph.
    Have a nice lunch and dont let it spoil your holiday. As long as your foot recovers, that’s the main thing. the bike can be fixed.

  8. Thanks for the comments especially about beating myself up because that is what I did. Foot stiff and grew in the boot all day but I did get out there. Came back to base And put some ice on it as well as volterol. That helped and I manage to get cracking at around 10 had a good day mixed weather As usual probably saw 3 seasons in One day. Bike undamaged as the foot,boot and some grass took the hit.

  19. Home Yesterday afternoon. Great time mixed weather, foot still saw and black and blue now. 1469.8 Miles covered
    Observations;

    Average MPG 43 vs 50 for Triumph Sprint ST 1050 (similar miles)
    Multi much more comfortable than Triumph. No shoulder ache or neck ache today
    Panniers work well
    Kangaroo juice arrives on any particular start up. Most noticeable at 5K RPM. Refuel and restart and it goes
    DRL switching back to auto on shutdown does not work.
    Weather protection good, adjustable screen can switch from protect to cool
