so 2004s had ti con rods ! mine also has some sort of fancy termi system , ducati rechip and ducati performance air filters - whatever that lot means .
I'd be more interested in a fsh. Get the fairings off and have a right good look over it. Paint peeling on the engine normal. Find out when the belts were done and by who... (I had a potentially disastrous belt stripped and vertical cylinder head seized) Not for all, but agree about later model and an 's'.. Had to do fork seals on Ohlins, which seems normal. (200quidish) Check for cracks in the sub frame on the monos... Otherwise, get one, they're great.....
Mine 999S 2006 is for sale, it's standing in the Netherlands.... Only got 9755 km, about 6100 miles. Has got forged marchesini's from an 999R, termi half system,engine had an complete rebuild,new fork seals and so on.
