  2. Has he been given his P45:thinkingface:

  3. If you are to believe what people say, apparently Ducati will make a decision about his future after this weekend. I’m guessing he either gets his shit together or looks for an alternative ride in 2019. Andy

  4. #everything with a pinch of salt:upyeah:

  5. Johnnie Rae to Repsol Honda? Possibility.....

  6. I’d love to see him alongside Marq, and reckon he could ride the bike well enough for top 5 but could he be competitive?

  7. one word.............No:upyeah: his last outing with the honda 5/6/7?

  8. He’s proven, tho, on a very good bike (best?) he has the talent and desire to keep winning. Think about what he was achieving on that old blade when others could barely make top 15.

    But have to agree, no.

  9. There's no doubt about it.......... he deserves an award from the beatings he received every weekend from that Honda:upyeah:

  10. His riding style is GP Honda ish to me. I am sure he would adapt, he is a rather special rider for sure.
Honda are holding off on a decision on Pedrosa whilst Johnny is holding back with Kawasaki...

  11. his 2012 season............ 17 points only:thinkingface:

  12. I could be incorrect so don't round on me but wasn't he just a stand in for 2 races in 2012? I have not got time to check lol

  13. But maybe he can also just cement a place in suberbike history, be looked back on in years to come as a foggy type legend, why not? No shame there, you can go to gp and kind of ruin the great work that has been done, I don't know his age but he's not young in racing terms I imagine it takes some learning gp

  15. 2 starts and came top 10 in both, on someone else’s bike and with someone else’s setup (albeit Stoner).

  16. Rae is 31.
Yes he could stick to WSBK and surely mop up the next few seasons or he could attempt to become a top flight Moto GP rider and probably earn a lot more in the process to help with the retirement pot.
All speculation of course but I do feel the door is ajar at Repsol Honda for him.

  17. As this has turned into a debate about Rea, it's worth noting that he was told categorically NOT to throw the bike at the scenery and as such he said that he took no risks. With more time on the bike I think he can equal the sort of performances from Crutchdog which would be more than acceptable overall. No-one is beating Marquez for the next few years, the kid crashed so hard in Moto2 he lost his sight for a while, not to mention the 200mph crash at Mugello and yet his win rate is staggering

  18. 7th & 8th, with no history on the bike and only the weekend to dial in. Also, not pushing to the limits as he’d been told not to bin it. That’s damn impressive.

  19. Rae to MotoGP ??:laughing::laughing: Not even on the same planet as the top factory boys and never will be. May as well put Shakey on one :scream:
