  3. I absolutely agree with you and you need to ride with others to really enjoy the event. I am also keen on the MTB and some Sunday mornings if I'm the only one out, it's hard to push as hard or go as far. But last weekend there were 5 of us and it was a great ride!

Likewise motorcycling; you need the right bike, not the fastest, newest, but the one that makes you smile and suits the roads we ride on. Then you need a group to ride with and get some good trips in. Getting into Europe really does give us the chance to enjoy the bikes properly.

My other bike is great fun but again I don't get out on it much as it doesn't handle the UK rough roads and is uncomfortable over 50 miles. Meanwhile the Multi is perfect for trips and I'm off to Ireland for 4 days tomorrow :)

Why not put out a post to suggest a few local riders meet up and go out for a ride, coffee and chat.

  4. Post up some photos of your trip.
Seeing other people’s adventures really works.

  6. I know I continually go on and on and on about MX however, any kind of off road on road track biking is bloody brilliant fun. Tbh, I haven't done road tracks. Closed track racing of any kind is just way better than going mental on the road with fu k wits pulling out and half with their cock beside their ear. Anyway, a cock in the ear sounds terrible, but try it, it's just not a great experience. I once thought about eating a hedgehog. Maybe it was a squirrel. It had a tail. Buy my book, 59.99 at all charity shops.

  7. For some. I tried off roading and found it too slow and boring, and falling off too easy and injuries too frequent when you do. Plus all the bikes too tall

  8. I agree with with earlier comment about signing up with your local IAM
After 6 or so observed rides with someone watching and commenting on your riding you then take (and hopefully) pass your test
That's all to the good and without doubt most will learn something from it. Importantly from your point of view it gets you into a group of like minded riders. There will be organised rides or with an email or Facebook post you'll have a buddy for a Saturday morning ride out
Slow and sedate, obeying speed limits, too boring cos you like to ride fast
Yeah right, that's what I thought too
Get a chance to ride with Police Advanced Instructor and I'll wager you will be stunned how, with good observation and planning, just how fast you can ride whilst staying legal

  11. I like the look of them but no, mental things.

What about a side car, passenger

  12. @bradders J Rea loves MX and is bloody quick at it. 4 tines WSBK Championships in a row. A Seeley rides MX bloody quick.

Now, go get an MX bike

  13. Apparently he doesn't have a bike license!
