Just received the new Kriega US-40 for my V4. I went with the Ducati luggage plate, which isn’t the most attractive of things, but it’ll be hidden by the bag. I like the 40, as it’s still relatively flat, and I should be able to fit enough in there for a 10 day trip.
Is the Kriega uS40 quite stiff so it doesn't droop over the sides of the rack? I prefer a roll bag these days ut they all seem to droop after a while
I have a collection of Kriega US from 5 to 30 plus some other bits, it’s great gear, just like to see this setup.
I doubt it will, as it’ll sit width wise on the rack. I’ve been using their kit for years, and never had any issues with it. A top loading option would be nice, but hopefully being able to load the bag from either end should make life easier. They mention about pockets for camping gear, but as I don’t do camping, that’s just more storage for rolled up clothes and booze. That said, if there’s space underneath for tent poles, I guess you could always put one in, for extra rigidity.
Made me order one now , dam you . Looks good and like the double entry , the older ones with single was a pain , this looks better and easier to use . Thanks for spending my cash..........KRIEGA | Official website - Online Store —US-40 RACKPACK
Best way to pack any luggage is to use the internal cubes to keep some order to everything. https://www.amazon.co.uk/AmazonBasi...locphy=1006601&hvtargid=pla-328298048324&th=1
I’ve not seen those before, they look good. Probably better than the way I normally just stuff everything into my bag currently!
I’ve been using luggage cubes for years, best way to organise your gear. Even if you have a one for riding gear (baselayers etc), one for tee shirts, one for underwear, it makes it a doddle when you are looking for something. I even use one for all the chargers etc.
Can anyone tell me if the 1260 topbox will fit the v4 rack. I've got a v4 pp coming and didn't want to buy something I've all ready got. Was hoping I could just buy the rack.
When the wife's buying the bike for me. so for the couple of times she comes on the back she likes to feel safe not thinking she going to fall off the back.
