Mallory Park was my first introduction to motorcycle racing, as a teenager I could cycle there during school holidays, find a hole to climb through in the fence or scrape some pocket money together for entrance. I am happy to say I saw the transatlantic races there and enjoyed its heyday when it had massive crowds attend. It hasn't in all honesty changed that much since then apart from a falling attendance and facilities that have only moved forward marginally, but it would be a shame to see more overpriced houses built for the snobby sods that live in the villages around there. Having lived in Barwell for 20 years I have seen how many of these objectors and their like are quite willing to drive around the country lanes after too many beers in the local, yet like to feel hard done to when there was a bit of noise on a Sunday. I say stuff them, let mallory continue to annoy them...... there are plenty of houses elsewhere so buy one somewhere else or stop moaning. petition signed.....

Great memories of Mallory watching the Transatlantic races in the '70s and then finally racing there myself in the '80s, first track I fell off on ( oil on the esses) and scene of my one and only first place, still got my ACU licence from that year with the race position and signature on the back. Really hope it gets through these problems and goes on to bigger and better things.
