  3. I can't believe half these gorgeously kept garages. Both of mine are rammed with "stuff"

  4. Let me guess - you're a Rolls-Royce engineer.

  5. I'm toying with the idea of running a duct from my house air conditioning system to the shed so's my motorbikes don't get too chilly this winter.

    Beat that ya flash bastids!

  6. Surely that's against building regulations?

  7. You ain't seen the house:frown:

The a/c's the sturdiest bit of it...

  8. What makes you say that Pete?

  9. Your workshop and tools don’t look like those of an amateur or dilettante, but of a real, meticulous engineer, and your profile says you are in Derby. I just put two and two together ... So tell me I’m wrong. Were you at the Donington Ducati day on 31 July, Haydn?

  10. Just working out a design for my new one - and now you have gone and done it - what with Dave's new digs and that Dura Garages link.....

Sadly, having just moved into new gaff with new garage to develop, I realise that the muppets who owned the house before weren't too concerned with it being DRY!!! - so it leaks like a sieve! Bummer. Two days of bitumin later and it still leaks - so stuff has to stay in storage until I can redevelop in spring when it's dry enough to build a new roof. Might as well make it bigger too then -

But at least as my bikes are all Ducatis Dave, at least two of them are helpfully stored for me at JHP at any given time - thus freeing up space!

(p.s. where did you get those floor tiles - they are brilliant)

  11. Pete,

Thanks - but that isn't going to fix it in this case. We have a party wall issue where their garage (another property) abuts mine, their roof tips the water in the direction of my house, and they have a drain gulley (crap design) that runs along the top of the party wall between the two properties. And leaks.

Not a simple fix unfortunately. It's a "take their garage roof off and mine and make proper draining system that is watertight" which can clear water away down the party wall line. Nice way to start a neighbourly relationship - a good party wall dispute and row over who is liable to pay for their (asbestos) roof tipping water across the party wall into my property etc.....

London neighbour relations thrive on this sort of stuff! Wonder how they will like the Desmo with full open pipe system when it comes back from JHP!

  12. Haha I can't you are correct. I was at Donington on Friday 27th July but not on the 31st. Hopefully I will be at more of the Ducati days next year.
