  1. Nice, loving the fact that the "wife & Daughter" don't have hard hats

  2. It isn't quite as tidy as this now, as you inevitably fill it with more stuff but its not bad, we made the units for a retailer who in the end didn't want them so I adapted them to fit in the garage, the Blade has since been replaced with a 2003 999s.

  3. Concerned about how flimsy up and over doors are...?

I was, so I fitted some internal ones too.

50mm Box section frames, insulated and clad in galvanised steel sheet.

When shut three M10 thumbwheel bolts fix the doors together in the middle an one at the top in the framework to be on the safe side.

    Much quieter inside now also.

  4. I imagine you would have to leave a lot of free space inside the garage for the doors to open into.

  5. Yup, the doors go flat against the side walls. I normally leave a space which the bike(s) take up when closed. Also the garage is quite long so not a big issue.
You also need another door to get in of course!

  6. There's a ghost in your patio doors exige , I can see him.

  7. He's a performance Bikes Camera man - having an off day :)

  8. The house was finished and we moved in last week of November, so that's a couple of months ago. The house was ready-to-move package, but the garage has been a project for myself.

    Garage on the right :)

It's 50m2 (~540 sq ft?), with floor heating and a 5m (~16ft?) door. This was taken yesterday:

But ofcourse, this is only half the story... It's always easy to "lie" with a camera. The reality is actually this:

But I still have hope left. We actually didn't have the funds or the time to build the shed on the back of the house before moving, so all the stuff in the shed in the previous house was brought here. I started this with my previous garage: anything that isn't garage related, isn't allowed in. That means no winter sport apparel, no boxes of odd kitchen stuff, no bicycles, no mother-in-laws, nothing  When completely empty and ready, I have promised other-half the other half of the garage for her car, I will keep my daily outside and project cars or bike on my side.

    On last pic:

Actually, I have a thread on GarageJournal Finnish 2-car garage build, by-the-book - The Garage Journal Board

That is concentrating on the build of the garage itself....

  14. Thinking about doing some work on my garage, sealing the floor, painting walls, fitting lights and getting some decent tool storage and workbench units.

I've been looking online for inspiration and thought I might ask here, so does anyone want to show off their garage or are they all full of long-forgotten gym equipment, chest freezers, and kids toys?

  15. There is quite a long thread about this on here, I'm quite new so not good with the search function, someone else may be about to bump it or add the link for you.

  16. ah thanks, I was surprised when I search for garage and nothing came up.
