Mancave or( Womancave even) photos.

I've been thinking about doing something with the floor in my garage. I've been looking at rubber tiles or sealing it with epoxy paint, but having seen your pics i'm now considering carpet tiles.

Anyone got any tips or advice?

 

OK so I've just painted all the walls of the garage white and ordered some red Garacoat Epoxy floor paint, new light fittings and a new door, man cave stage one complete

 

Stage one, order.....3 years later stage 2 fit it

 

I have now painted the floor, I just hope this paint is as hard-wearing as they claim. Also boarded up the door on the right, fixed a couple of leaks in the roof and fitted two new (very bright) strip lights. Now i'm off to Ikea to get a load of this shelving...

 

You can never have to much lighting, shelves or power sockets

 

I had mine a little sorted but due to it having a shared asbestos roof and being against a hill, it used to be so damp it was horrible.



I did have all the electrics sorted though with loads of sockets, an RCD for welding and 4 strip lights even though the garage wasn't that big!



We sold the house though and now the new house when we get in has much more scope for a nice garage! Have already purchased some nice floor tile samples and we are going to have a worktop and sink as the washing machine etc lives out there. Hoping it will be a bit nicer and drier than the old one!

Nice, I've got a plumber coming next week to sort out a water leak, so going to ask him about having a water supply in the garage, the problem is the garage is on the opposite side of the house to the water supply

 

Make sure the washing m/c tumble dryer etc vents to outside.
Iv just fitted a couple fan heaters that run off the central heating and wired them through a thermostat , also had the house cavity wall insulated and bunged the guys a couple quid to do the garage.

 

You're having a washing machine in there :Facepalm: your wife will see when you sneak an extra bike home. What you need is a separate annex for the washing machine :Finger: oh, and a shed for the gardening stuff too :Wideyed: Don't ruin a good garage...

Yeah, the plan is to buy a cheap electric shower and a Belfast style sink so I can wash the dog in it! But regards the tumble drier, yeah I'll have to think about how to do that. Condensing tumble drier?

I've heard if you feed water in you need planning permission as it makes it habitable. Not sure how true that is.

 

I like the white traffic warden storage facility on the left.

 

I heard it was heating....but we need a proper opinion here....any planning officers on here?

 

Now have a 3 seater sofa that converts to a bed in mine. Not sure what the wife is trying to tell me...
