Yes, exactly that, and I'm prepared to ride anything in order to get that feeling back. The MZ had it in spades, but so did the TL1000 and the ST2. But then I love travelling too, so my sensible head keeps looking at Triumph Sprints and the like; I buy them, realise they do a bloody good job, but hate them anyway cos they don't make me chuckle. There's no pleasing me these days.
I have 3 CZtrails. One on the road at the moment. I have done more miles in the cold and wet at 45mph with a big grin on my face since Christmas than I did all last year on the SS. Trying to get 60 mph out of a 175cc 40 year old two stroke is much more fun than trying to get 160 out of a modern bike. Scan eBay for sub £1500 twenty year old bike and buy at random. The always sell for what you paid so it is fun to try something new. I am going to build a trike next I think
Love the Stark Aprilia. The first Mutley was a fantastic looking bike except the front which was hideous. Such a pity they didn't get that bit right. You can include the second Mutley in your list too.
Oooh a 1929 Majestic 500cc, that is great Marmite for me is anything 2 or 4 wheeled that's German just complete and utter junk
