MCN Bike Sow - Excel. Never again!

Discussion in 'Rideouts & Events' started by Rizzo, Feb 16, 2014.

  1. Well that's a rosy outlook.

My view is that a youth that has access to cheap cars for transport, lives a life full of virtual on-screen immediate kicks and is surrounded by an H&S cotton wool culture and wall to wall traffic is unlikely to turn massively to motorcycles.

    I hope I'm wrong.

  2. You're right, it's now the preserve of the middle aged.

  3. And all the old farts who refuse to give up-me being a example of one.:upyeah:

  5. Biking is a pastime nowadays, rather than a means of transport, so we'll never see the high levels of riders we've seen previously. But already the riding instructors I know have seen a noticeable increase in people taking their bike test. I honestly believe the combination of a unified testing regime and the return of affordable medium range bikes will see a marked increase in bikes on the road over the next few years.

  6. Never been to the Excel bike show. Always used to go to the Ally Pally years ago before it moved to Excel. MCN moved in on the Ally Pally show, Built it up and then jumped ship with it to Excel. Don't no many people who say they really enjoy the Excel show.
If I remember correctly they always had dealers at the Ally Pally showing off the bikes and in the second hall loads of trade stalls.
Always a cracking day out and reasonable admission and food prices.
