Melanie Sykes and Toseland's Wig

Discussion in 'Racing & Bike Sport' started by Cranker V2, Mar 20, 2014.

  1. I for one am prepared to give her a chance. Lets see how she does in 6 or 7 races time when she should be a bit more clued up and less nervous. I though only Hodgson looked at ease out of the lot of them in front of the camera.

Overall, not bad for the 1st broadcast. A bit rough around the edges, but probably to be expected.

BT are now giving us a lot more of what we want and some people are still not happy. It beats being moved to a later recorded broadcast beacuse of snooker ot rugby in my book.

  2. Really? I thought he was hopeless. In fact Toseland was a lot better with his insights. And thank God he sorted his barnet out. Just the shiny tan to sort now ;)

  3. For a first effort not bad at all .will get better. Miss insight spalders & toby moody .foes hewen ever shut up annoying and out of touch.
Hodgson okay toesland good insight but a bit bland sykes knows nowt about motogp but will improve.7 out of 10

  4. I thought it was okay. It will get better as they all relax a bit more and get used to the job. B+ for me. MotoGP was a great race and Valentino's interview was a classic. You could tell he really enjoyed that.

  5. But what about the glow in the dark teeth ?

Lack of slowmo pics but let's leave critiquing until a few 'episodes' in

  6. He needed them. It was a night race FFS ;)

  7. Stick Mute on until racing - thats the way to do it

  8. i thought they did ok, more slo-mo stuff would be nice tho.

  9. Got hold of this stream - Capture.PNG the "DOG - digitally operated graphic" is not BT but the commentators are English...recognize the voices, commentary is fine...

  10. I would be annoyed at the level of coverage was what people had paid to watch.

Sounds as if it was dire, even if it was for free.

  11. They covered every race and session from what I could tell (apart from race day warm up). They also had interviews and behind the scenes stuff

Far from it, I can't believe the level of criticism levelled at the coverage, even from people like yourself who never watched it.

  12. So, those who saw it on BT. rather than itv4 (me) would be very happy and impressed with the coverage and presenting they had witnessed after paying extra for?

  13. Happy, yes. I had many hours of viewing over the weekend. All bases were covered. An nice little documentary on Mr. Marquez. An after race show tonight and an upcoming program on Mike Hailwood. All good stuff.

Impressed. Not at this point. There was nothing new that blew me away, like the 1st time slow-mo HD was shown. I wasn't un-impressed either. They just did a decent job for the 1st time out.

What you said was you'd have been annoyed at the level of coverage and that it was dire by the way.

  14. You can't keep everyone happy all of the time :)
I enjoyed it for what it was, a pretty good first race with extensive coverage.
People will bitch and whine about anything, the fact that I get this coverage for free because I'm a virgin customer is sweet.

And yes JT hairstyle is an abomination :Bag:

  15. The coverage was fine, yes a few nervous presenters. The main thing, the racing, was good.Five hours of proper sport, just what Saturdays are about.

  16. thought the coverage was bloody good.....I enjoyed a great bt sport weekend ......vroom vroom and they even managed to arrange for a fantastic race.anyhows for someone who resisted the satanic bt to the bitter last minute I was pleasantly surprised.bring on the next race.

  17. After saying every session will be broadcast it's a shame BT didn't show Warm Up like eurospunk used to. That's an important session and a nice starter to watch on race day, giving an insight into who's got race pace. The general coverage and commentary was good I thought and can only improve as the newbies settle in.
