I have the CT3's on my streetfighter, so far 4,000 miles done on the rear and it hasn't squared of yet and still plenty of tread
Yes, so long as you are riding a mix of roads, they're fine (like any other tyre no doubt). Problem happens when you do about 500 miles at a decent lick on a motorway on a hot day (as you might, if you were going far afield).
You can never have too much grip. Ever. Unless you have just lost the rear at high lean and then any grip is too much
I got a good price on the pilot 3. Seriously looking at getting these fitted tomorrow. No one complained here so can't be bad.
What I am putting them onto I reckon it doesn't really matter in the dry, its a wet performance I was looking. A little 650 isn't really going to push a good tyre, is it? Its usually rainy at some point in the week and wanted good mileage and wet grip. Anyway, worth a go, if nothing else, they look good.
Nah they will be fine, I find they have a good life span too, so far I have clocked up 4,000 miles on the rear and still plenty of tread
Finally, got a set of pilot 3 fitted to the commuter today. Road home in the normal way and happy. Need rain because that's why I bought them.
