  1. Hope it's OK posting here rather than new thread.

Just been watching a "Brad the bike boy" video (in my tea break) and found an o-ring I did not know existed.
    He said it was a 8 i.d. x 1.5 sec (I think it's 7.5 i.d. - but who am I, plenty on ebay)

EDIT: And there is a 10 i.d x 1.5 sec under slide guide - which he said was not available from Ducati

If you get some plier and grab it side on (i.e. pliers 90 degree to hole axis) get a good grip and rotate and wiggle & lift it comes out ok. I did pliers nose first on od and it slipped off and burred the plug. No great drama but does not look good.

  2. Good to tag this on here, ^ useful to anyone generally working on Mikunis.

  3. OK. Final post from me on this thread. Update on the situation with grateful thanks to Travellingman and much sadness that I cannot do the same to the ever helpful Arquebus.
Louigi Moto sorted it. They checked and marked my homework which, apart from incorrect airgaps on the ignition pickups was OK. The problem turned out to be a dodgy rectifier/regulator. This was not helped by the exciters I picked up on ebay having the wrong advance curve.
I cannot recommend Richard and his crew highly enough. They treated me with respect, sympathy and efficiency. My bike now runs well and so it should with completely new ignition system and rebuilt carbs breathing through standard airbox and carbs. I dread to think what I have spent. Probably at least what the bike is worth. But she is beautiful and sings like a goddess!

  4. I'm not surprised it turned out to be electrical.

  5. Mine also had incorrect ignition air gaps etc causing poor running. Geoff at Baines racing diagnosed the problems and sorted the bike in a day. She's been flying ever since!
