Well that is what I was hoping, when I saw he was close to the front at the end. Disappointing to hear JL was cruising.
But let's remember that only a couple of races ago, that would have been 30-40 seconds behind the leaders. It's a step in the right direction and gives hope for the future. I don't think anyone is expecting miracles, and had Dani not been wiped out by Barbera, and Casey been riding, a fourth would still have been a vast improvement over the early season results. Fingers crossed JB and the team can continue to improve the feel that VR was missing, and we can see the Duke challenging for wins again.
NH confirmed after todays test the new VR developed chassis is a massive improvement with loads of front end feel. VR tested secret updates today which will be available for others to test at the next test. Why are they so late to deliver the goods! Maybe the audi buy out hindered production. Rossi has only signed a intent to ride contract with yamaha Will he u turn like spies just did with bmw.
Vr tested another chassis today which he did not like. They tested a new swingarm and now they have corner exit side grip. Another massive improvement. No lap times as yet. All good news

The big result, whether cruising or not, was he managed to stay ahead of dovi and bradl who have been on fire, and tbh fairly easily at points. Ok so if Stoner and Pedrosa had been out there likley off the podium but he seemed so much more comfortable to watch on the bike.
