Ian I think it may be based upon an after market one, like some of the ones Weiss do. tbh it has a couple of chips in the gel coat (live with that) it was supposed to be in red gel coat (live with that) it took several weeks longer to supply than quoted (can live with that) as they are made in Italy? It is supposed to be a straight swap for the standard one which it isn't, therefore would make the rear mudguard, tail light redundant, and the fact it is 5cm too narrow along its length is what does it for me, I don't want to mess about cutting it, inserting a 5cm length along the seat just so it does the job it is supposed to do.
I have heard of more expensive places. But it did include some repairs to body panels. I am happy with the result. Perfect colour match as I am still using the original tank and have a spare now in yellow as I intend to keep the bike.
So brancato respond same day £170 plus post red gel in polyester, 4 week turn round or mdina £332 for a carbon fibre in stock no discount and they previously charged me 30% more for genuine spares than anyone else. Would loved to have had the carbon one but less than happy about the customer experience . So unless I can source elsewhere will try the boys at brancato. Proving I don't have money to burn Al .
