An excellent example of unbalanced moderation and an uneven playing field. Total deletion of my response to your post. The post could have remained; with the pictures removed for the reasons given. Your avatar has an equal Google index ban effect as the other album covers shown, yet it remains. Mods please explain your thoughts on this. @Rob and @El Toro if we could receive an email when we receive an alert for a moved or deleted thread it would help us learn / change behavior. At present unless I notice something is missing and have a look at alerts I wouldn't know why.
I deleted you posts because they contained nudity. This results in us being banned from Google AdSense.

but the Avatar isn't seen by google? It's also on the banned list for partial nudity? Over 30 album covers are. Could the words have stayed? My posts have historically been edited by mods before. No nudity... got it... it's in the rules. Post Inappropriate Content Do not post images that contain nudity or pornography. Examples include, but are not limited to, pornographic images, videos or games, pornographic cartoons and nudity. Do not post close up of breasts, buttocks or crothes (spelling error here), see through clothing or lingerie or strategically covered nudity. I think I may have answered my own question..... avatars aren't seen as "close ups"?
Yes they are. Also I don’t make the Google rules. They see ANY nudity as a breach of their terms of service.
Ok... big lesson for ALL of us. Lots of pictures from the random picture thread need to go and quite a few avatars. I'll be gone a while, some self censoring to take place. OK... I think I'm in the clear now. I have commented on a picture that is clearly outside of the forum rules, but this must be an exception to the rules. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/random-picture-thread.25025/page-929#post-1068299
I've moderated on a few forums over the years and it's not an easy task. Overall I think this forum does a pretty good and professional job. The job is probably made more difficult by the over representation of grumpy old br*xit b*stards on here which often seems the opposite of what I would expect from a Ducati community but I still love them because they love the Red. The forum needs more racing, technical and build threads in my opinion to improve it. There's too much political and not enough bike content but I suppose thats reflecting the time of year and the country in general.
Spot on! More of that. Less; Blah blah bollox Blithering not funny humour 'Intellectual' cock fighting Nasty f*ckers who consider this place a playground to sneer and take the piss out of other peoples efforts One thing I do like here, which often comes up on other forums is the lack of 'did you search before asking?' Very rude and unwelcoming IMO.
Here's a crazy idea, whilst moderation is stretched, and even when not. If someone has a problem with someones post / joke / dig why not tell them directly - via PM if not openly, instead of reporting to the mods straight away or even PM'ing other members to try and cause trouble. That way the cuddly mods might remain cuddly if not switching on to loads of contrived dribble. As was intimated earlier by Rob the written word and general forum humor / banter (which a lot enjoy even though some don't) can very easily be misinterpreted and if grown ups can't sort out misunderstandings themselves then pass it on to the 'authority of mediation' I have never had anyone discuss an issue with me directly, but quite a few reports moaning about something I've said, same for half a dozen others recently too. My belief is this has had malicious intent, I know not why, it's a great forum so enjoy it and man up and sort out perceived issues like grown ups.

All of this can be avoided through careful use of the Forum tools we have available here. One really important point, though and I cannot stress how important it really is. In order to avoid "descending to their level" or otherwise being seen by others to be a "pissy little bitch", you have to obey one or two commandments, as set out below. Ignoring these "rules" defeats the whole object of the exercise. Trust me, twenty years spent on forums has shown me that this to be absolutely true. So, Rule 1: You don't tell people publicly that you've done this. Rule 2: You do NOT tell people publicly that you've done this. Step 1: Locate a post by the person you no longer wish to see posting here. I have selected a poster at random and I can tell you, I've no intention of applying the solution in this particular case. It's purely for illustrative purposes. Step 2: Click on his name ... Step 3: From the pop-out menu, select "Ignore" Step 4: There is no Step 4. Step 5: Do not announce to the World what you have just done. Step 6: Enjoy a forum that features one less reason for your morose, bad-tempered, depressed and distressed existence on the planet. Step 7: Do not announce to the World what you have just done. Honestly, everyone, including you, will have a much better forum experience with far fewer irritations. The added bonus will be that, by not telling everyone who you have on "Ignore", you won't force other people to put up with a lot of pissy posting and bellyaching when those people "retaliate". This is a prudent plan for a prosperous and friendly forum and I commend it to the house. Oh, and one more thing: FFS just do it. Seriously. Fare well and goodbye - some of you, at least.
Can you tell the world when you've taken fin off ignore? I mean ahem any member I whole heartedly support the ignore member facility, a largely underused function. Because of it, I have never needed to press the report button. I've even tried ignoring myself from time to time but sadly the software doesn't allow it. By simply using the ignore member facility that is free to use in case any of you tightwads were wondering, many can reduce the moderations team workload and your own stress level
